How clean is your purse...as clean as the floor you just picked it up from! Your purse is a hot housed for germs. We don't pay enough attention to where we place our handbags. Public bathrooms, shopping carts, car floors, or restaurant floors all are germ ridden areas where we constantly place our purses. Then we come home and put them on our beds, counter tops even in our baby's cribs! I'm not going to go over how many types of germs you pick up on your purse...just know there are hundreds if not thousands. Watch where you place your precious purses ladies.

How many times have you dug your hands down into your well used handbag looking for a pen, keys or earring and found your nails stuck to gooey piece of melted gum or candy? If there is anything I dread its to ruin the lining of my favorite handbag with nasty melted gum. This is most likely to happening in the summer or in very hot weather if you leave your purse in the hot car. To get that icky sticky out of that lining use Dirt Devils by Carbona products (there are nine in all) to remove everything from lipstick to gum to nail glue.

Need a great pound cake recipe for Thanksgiving. Bagadocious has a great Seven-up pound cake handed down from her Mother. This is the moistest pound cake I have ever had. Its great toasted with a pat of butter spread on it an put under the oven broiler for breakfast the morning after Thanksgiving also. You have to try it...

Seven-up Pound Cake

Ingredients:

1-1/2 cup butter

3 cups of sugar

5 eggs

3 cups of flour

2 tablespoons of lemon extract

3/4 cup of 7-up

Instructions:

Preheat oven 325.

Cream butter and sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy.

Add eggs 1 at a time. Beat well.

Add flour, beat in lemon extract.

Add 7-up

Pour into well greased and floured jumbo fluted mold.

Bake @ 325 for 1hr and 15 minutes.

"We found bacteria that can cause skin infections on the bottom of purses. What's more amazing is the large numbers we find on the bottom of purses, which indicates that they can be picking up a lot of other germs like cold viruses or viruses that cause diarrhea." Is that not scary?? Clean those handbags and keep them off the floor. Do you think that the flu could be on your purses also? yuk! Maybe not that's a virus huh? lol
